Warehouse Supervisor I

This is a Full-time position in Triadelphia, WV posted May 3, 2021.


The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the activities of warehouse operations across all shifts to meet company standards regarding safety, quality, cost, schedules and profitability. Fosters a work environment consistent with company values and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Plans, organizes, and supervises all daily warehouse activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
  2. Coordinates and assigns work; trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates the performance of warehouse employees. Coaches, counsels and disciplines as necessary.
  3. Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Warehouse mission in an effective and efficient manner. Interview and recommend applicants for hire as Warehouse and Receiving employees
  4. Assists management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advises of budget-related needs; assists in the bid process for various supplies as required.
  5. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment in the area. Responsible for employee safety, and housekeeping. Remains alert to existing and potential warehouse problems and takes necessary corrective action.
  6. Utilizes ERP system to produce reports that track/monitor shipments. Prepares and maintains records and logs; maintains inventory of items in the warehouse; analyzes warehouse data and initiates resolution of any irregularities.
  7. Efficiently and effectively schedules and coordinates the routing of all outgoing shipments.
  8. Maintains strong channels of communication with other departments (customer service, scheduling, production and purchasing).
  9. Responsible for all fork and clamp truck operation, including but not limited to: Repairs, batteries, tires, safe operation. Ensures warehouse employees’ ability to safely operate equipment to perform job functions in the warehouse.
  10. Participate and/or facilitate inventory reconciliation.


Directly supervises 5-15 employees in the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Must be able to be on call for questions during non-working hours using company provided cell phone.

Ability to lead, motivate, select, train and instruct personnel. Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. College degree in related field; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


OSHA approved Forklift Certification, Train the Trainer Certification preferred

CPR and first-aid Certified.
