Clerk – Reconcilement


This is a Full-time position in Fairmont, WV posted June 9, 2021.

High school diploma or GED required.Associate Degree in business, accounting or related field preferred.Banking experience preferred.SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the daily reconcilement of more difficult bank records in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures, alerting the Reconcilement Manager of any and all out-of-balance conditions, and taking the necessary action to ensure that outstanding outages are researched and corrected.CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS:Willingness to provide a level of service which will clearly differentiate us from our competitors.INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to bank employees and bank customers.Ability to accurately follow instructions, multi-task and listen attentively.Must be detailed oriented and have good organizational skills.Must be able to work within timeframes, meet deadlines, work under pressure and handle detailed work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with business units to resolve out of balance situations or dated reconcilement itemsCommunicate outages to bank business units.Reconcile internal Checking and General Ledger AccountsOther duties may be assigned.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.Knowledge/ability to use computer terminal.Ability to operate standard office equipment.Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
